We like to keep things happy and cheerful in the Prestige Settlements office, and that means keeping each other motivated and ensuring we share pieces of positivity any time we can!
Some mornings, the team shares delicious pastries from Fika Patisserie Perth based in Duncraig, or even some treats from gift baskets carefully put together by Shelley. Sharing these treats and small moments allows everyone to take a step back from the screens for a moment and connect within the office. It allows us to reset and ground ourselves in team motivation.
We also feel deeply motivated by music, and especially tunes that help keep the vibe positive! Shelley shares that one of her go-to songs is ‘The Bare Necessities’ By Phil Harris; a truly perfect pick-me-up tune, don’t you think?
Team building and community are incredibly important to us, so we celebrate every win by doing a dance in the office or going out for lunch. We also spend time together outside of work hours, and you’ll often find us out together having a meal or drinks to catch up on our personal lives.
When we’re not in the office or sharing time outside of work hours, we’re networking with others in our industry and building our connections within Perth! In May of this year, we were invited by LiveSign to attend the Pretty Woman Musical alongside other settlement agents. It was a great way to build our community and connect with more people in the industry. It served as a great reminder that it’s important to remember that while our job is incredibly serious, not every single moment spent with those in our industry also needs to be serious.
By attending these external events, we feel more connected to the communities around us.
Stepping outside of industry-specific events, The International Women’s Day Perth event in March earlier this year was also a wonderful way for us to celebrate leading and empowering others in a variety of industries and disciplines.
We recommend having moments like these to connect, share, and relax within the workplace; it’s allowed us to get closer as a team and keep each other focused while maintaining a positive environment. It also helps us to bring our best selves to our clients!
